If you’re traveling to Japan, here’s a quick guide on what you need to do at the airport:
Step 1️⃣ – Arrival Gate (到着ゲート / Arrival Gate)
Once you exit the plane, follow the signs to the Arrival Gate.
Step 2️⃣ – Immigration Check
Head to the foreigners’ immigration counter, where you will:
✅ Present your passport
✅ Receive your Residence Card (if applicable)
If you pass through an automated immigration gate, you might not get a stamp on your passport. If you need one, you can request it from the officer.
Step 3️⃣ – Collect Your Luggage
If you checked in baggage, proceed to the luggage carousel (turntable) to pick up your bags.
Step 4️⃣ – Customs Inspection
Your belongings will be checked for restricted or prohibited items. If customs officers find anything unusual, they may inspect your luggage further.

What to Do Upon Arrival in Japan – Step by Step Guide
ဂျပန်ကို ဝင်တာနဲ့ လေဆိပ်မှာ ဘာတွေလုပ်ရလဲ ဆိုတာကို အတိုချုပ် ပြောပြပေးမယ်နော်။
- နံပါတ် (၁) လေယာဉ်ပေါ်ကနေ ဆင်းလိုက်တာနဲ့ (到着ゲート\Arrival Gate) ကို သွားရပါမယ်။
- နံပါတ် (၂) Arrival Gate မှာမှ နိုင်ငံခြားသားတွေအတွက် ပြထားတဲ့ကောင်တာကို သွားရမယ်။ ကောင်တာမှာ Passport ကိုပြပြီးတော့ နေထိုင်ခွင့်ကဒ် ကို ထုတ်ယူရပါမယ်။ ကိုယ်က အလိုအလျောက်စစ်ဆေးတဲ့ System လုပ်ထားတဲ့ Gate ဆိုရင် တံဆိပ်တုံးထုမှာ မဟုတ်ဘူးပေါ့နော်။ ကိုယ်ကလိုချင်ရင်တော့ တာဝန်ရှိသူကို ပြောလိုတော့ ရပါတယ်။
- နံပါတ်(၃) Luggage ထုတ်ရပါမယ်။ ကိုယ်က အထုတ်ကို Hand carry ပဲ မဟုတ်ဘူးဆိုရင် (turntable) သွားပြီး ပစ္စည်းထုတ်ဖို လိုအပ်ပါတယ်။
- နံပါတ်(၄) တရားဝင်စံချိန်စံညွှန်းများနှင့် ကိုက်ညီခြင်းရှိ၊ မရှိ စစ်ဆေးပြီးတော့ တင်သွင်းဖို မသင့်တဲ့ ကုန်ပစ္စည်းတွေကို ရောနှောထားခြင်းရှိမရှိ စစ်ဆေးပါတယ်။ အကယ်လို ပုံမှန်မဟုတ်တဲ့ကုန်ပစ္စည်းတွေကို တွေ့ရင်တော့ ကွန်တိန်နာကနေ ဖယ်ရှားပြီး တော့ စစ်ဆေးမှာ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။
